Nurturing Africa's STEM Talent Factory
EngineerEd is a training platform that provides educators with aggregated, simplified content to teach Maths and Physics topics using coding concepts. Our rallying call is to give every student a fair chance to learn technology by empowering them and their teachers to use readily available methods to revolutionize the classroom experience.
Our Events
🇰🇪 Kajiado, Kenya: Coding and Hardware Classes at Baraka Ontooiye School
Introducing devices found in Arduino Kit, basic electronics and how to make a hardware product using these tools.
Final product: Students' autonomous dustbin using Ultrasonic sensors to detect motion and servo motor to open the bin.
Creative Thinking: 3D Printing Class
Our trainers used BlocksCAD, leveraging maths equations to write block code that designed the Raspberry Pi Logo. Ultimaker Cura was used for the 3D Print slicing. Students got to each take home a Keyholder of the logo as their souvenir.
🇲🇼 Lilongwe, Malawi: Physical computing, Mercy High School
About 100 students joined us to learn about Telecommunication, Electrical and Software engineering as careers. At the end, they received Arduino kits to help them continue learning basic electronics.
